Part 7: Suite et fin
I haven’t posted about my journey in a long time. A lot has happened since I left Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
I went back to Bangkok, then Phuket, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Bangkok again, and then spent two months in Chiang Mai in a coliving–coworking space.
Since July, I’ve been back in Belgium, but I moved from Liège to Brussels.
At the beginning of the journey, my goal was to become an AWS/Azure Administrator and a DevOps Specialist. While I enjoyed the cloud administration part of the job, I discovered that I don’t enjoy the DevOps side. I don’t like working with Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, etc.
I took some time to reflect and came to the conclusion that I could find the system administration aspects I enjoy within Microsoft 365. The knowledge I gained in Azure and Entra ID will be useful there, as will my past experience as an IT Support Specialist.
So, three months ago, I created a new action plan and have been working on it since. I’m studying Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Teams, Defender, Purview, and more.
As with my previous plan, one of the goals is to get certified in these areas.
I plan to take the following certifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
I was just accepted into the training program Microsoft 365 Administration and Security by DigitalCity.Brussels.
I’m very happy about this, and I’m sure it will help me take another step forward in my M365 learning journey.
The training lasts one month, after which I’ll take the four certifications and start looking for a job in Brussels 🤞
